Tiraspol, May 12. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Operative Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie has begun tactical maneuvers with participation of motor rifle battalion and reinforcements. During the maneuvers, isolation and destruction of a maneuver illegal armed group (IAG) trying to destabilize the situation in the region and to occupy strategic objects was drilled.
Also, the military personnel will have to organize safe corridors for evacuation of civilians from the conflict zone and to create buffer zones.
Live firing exercise will be carried out at night at the final stage of the battalion tactical maneuvers.
As the press service of the Western Command reports, the maneuvers are scheduled, and they will last to the end of May. About 500 military personnel take part in them; up to 100 units of weapons and military equipment are employed.
