If the gas be cut off, all Pridnestrovie’s large enterprises will be closed

At the same time, the budget income would decrease by 60% in such case

As the first Deputy Prime Minister Maya Parnas noted during the info marathon live show of the Pridnestrovie’s First Channel, all industrial giants of the republic would simply be closed in case of Russian natural gas import problems.

“The Moldavian State District Power Plant is the main large enterprise and the energy supplier would have to switch to coal for the electricity generation. If the electric power price increased many times, then the state couldn't regulate the of raw material cost used for the power generation. We would have to offset the expenses, and also the electric power cost would increase for all of the consumer categories,” Maya Parnas explained.

According to her, the budget income would decrease approximately by 60% in such negative case at the same time. “Thus we would have no revenue to fill up the budget gaps. It is about one and a half billion rubles a year. This would be the economy recession. We would have to reduce the social protection unsupported by the real income,” Maya Parnas commented.
