Tiraspol, 30 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The president has summed up the results of the visit by the Pridnestrovian delegation to Russia.
"The main goal of the visit of the Pridnestrovian delegation to Moscow was to strengthen ties between the government of the PMR and the relevant officials of the Russian Federation," the presidential press service quotes Vadim Krasnoselsky as saying.
The Pridnestrovian delegation comprised over a dozen of specialists. Each of them was communicating and drawing up roadmaps with their Russian counterparts. The delegation held more than 20 meetings during the visit to discuss and make decisions on issues that affect the livelihoods of Pridnestrovian citizens.
The sides focused on Pridnestrovie's social security, Russian pensions, public healthcare, economic ties between regions. Special attention was given to international policy.
The meeting was concluded with a round-table talk with the involvement of the special representative of the Russian president on Pridnestrovie, vice-premier Dmitry Rogozin, Russian deputy ministers and many other officials. Pridnestrovie was represented by the entire delegation.
"We reaffirmed our commitment to the principles of cooperation and the solution of problems faced by Pridnestrovie," said Krasnoselsky.
In addition to economic issues, the freedom of movement was talked about. The issue of simplifying the acquisition by Pridnestrovians of Russian citizenship was also given detailed consideration in the State Duma.
"This applies to those young people who were born after 1 January 2017 and those who are citizens of other states. Currently, a working commission has been established by the State Duma to consider this issue. It is headed by Artem Turov, who was elected, among other regions, in Pridnestrovie. Artem Turov knows our problems. Pridnestrovian citizens apply to him. The State Duma has scheduled for March parliamentary hearings on the issue. I'm also going to take part in them. I hope for the elaboration and adoption as early as April-May of the relevant draft laws, according to which we'll receive a mechanism simplifying the acquisition of Russian citizenship by compatriots living abroad," said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Besides, according to him, the sides also spoke about continuing cooperation with ANO Eurasian Integration and including in the draft law a number of programmes that are being developed in Pridnestrovie. This refers, first of all, to the capital construction of housing for the citizens of the PMR.
"We will strengthen our contacts, and the next visit to Moscow will be paid by a Supreme Council delegation. This is necessary for inter-parliamentary and inter-party cooperation, which will ultimately have a positive impact on the planning and development of roadmaps between Pridnestrovie and Russia," concluded the head of state.
