Tiraspol, 15 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. One more business mission from Russia has visited Pridnestrovie this spring. While the first delegation was from Tatarstan, this one comes from Russia's southern Urals region. It comprises about 10 businessmen representing various production sectors. Among them are both potential sellers of their own products and buyers of Pridnestrovian goods.

«Their visit will contribute to the development of foreign trade activities between the two countries. Pridnestrovie has always been an industrial region, so the Russian Federation, on the one hand, is interested in the development of cooperative links, and on the other hand, in the exchange of experience and in updating the technological park of Pridnestroivan enterprises to obtain in the Russian market the most interesting, profitable and competitive product made in Pridnestrovie," said the member of the Russian trade mission in Moldova, Ilya Merkuryev.

The range of proposals made by the Russian guests is very wide. It includes exclusive gift articles made of precious metals and stones, cheese dairy equipment, vibration pressing machines for making pavement and coating tiles, as well as various items made of recycled paper.

The research-and-production centre Astra, which produces lab diagnostics equipment, has made an interesting proposal to Pridnestrovian medical workers — to sell their goods twice as cheap as usual.

Equally interesting may be a proposal by Traktor Ltd to agrarians.

«We manufacture five models of Uralets mini-tractor, one of which is designed for backyard farming, for plots of four hundred square metres, as well as for snow removal by public utility companies. We have explored the market of Moldova and Pridnestrovie [and found that] today this niche is filled with used vehicles from China, Japan and Europe. And the advantage of our tractors is their price, which is nearly twice as low. If we find a dealer in the republic, you'll see our tractors," said the plant's deputy director Leonid Geladi.

Besides a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is a facilitator in the dialogue between Russian and Pridnestrovian businesses, the Russian guests have already visited several enterprises. With some of them, such as Softshoes and Floare, they have discussed the possibilities of supplying Pridnestrovian footwear to the Urals region and, in turn, purchasing Russian packaging, while with others — agricultural firms — the prospects for the development of milk processing.

«Tomorrow they will meet with our government, visit agricultural companies and see our fields, orchards, vegetable gardens. And one more thing — we have already discussed this issue today — as it is their third time here, they are expecting us to pay a return visit to them. We'll try to organise such a visit this year," said the CCI president, Yury Ganin.
