Tiraspol, 29 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with Abkhazia's foreign minister Daur Kove, the president's press service reports.
«We have warm feelings to the Abkhazian people. We have always had good relations. There are corresponding cooperation and document recognition agreements. And above all, there is the mutual recognition of the nations," said the Pridnestrovian leader, greeting the Abkhazian diplomat.
The meeting was also attended by the head of Abkhazia's representative office in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman, Pridnestrovian foreign minister Vitaly Ignatyev and ambassador at large Ruslan Slobodenyuk.
«Pridnestrovie is not just a state for us. Pridnestrovie for us is a very close land where our brothers live. Our nations share a great deal — history, our aspirations for the future," noted Daur Kove. He expressed hope that new promising areas of cooperation between the two countriew would be found during the visit.
The Abkhazian foreign minister said that work was currently underway to draft a new friendship and cooperation treaty between the two countries.
Duar Kove delivered the Abkhazian president's invitation to Vadim Krasnoselsky to visit Abkhazia, to which the Pridnestrovian leader has given his consent.
