Tiraspol, 30 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Krasnoselsky has met the foreign minister of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, Karen Mirzoyan. The two states have long-standing traditions of friendship and cooperation. the president's press service reports. These traditions have a good potential for development, Karen Mirzoyan noted.
«The way we are going now and the way Pridnestrovie is going differ, but there are many common points. There is a sincere sympathy of the two nations to each other. There is a mutual understanding between our leaders. This is a good and solid basis for further cooperation. We always follow what is happening in and around Pridnestrovie. We are sure that everything will be resolved in the favour of the Pridnestrovian people," said the guest.
President Krasnoselsky recalled that Pridnestrovie and Nagorno-Karabakh had emerged as a result of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
«Our nations have remained hostage of certain circumstances. This is wrong. During our visit to the Oxford Union, we were asked about our attitude towards unrecognised states. I answered there are no rogues for us. People live everywhere. And it is important that people live in peace. All mechanisms should be put in place to prevent war," emphasised the president.
Vadim Krasnoselsky wished the foreign minister the advent of a sustainable peace on the land of Artsakh.
