Tiraspol, 29 August. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The accusation by the Moldovan MP, ex-vice premier Eugen Carpov against the Pridnestrovian leadership of attempts to privatise the land in the Security Zone belonging Moldovan farmers is a speculation and invention of some politicians. This is done to invent new restrictions against Pridnestrovian officials, Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky believes.

«it's very strange that Mr Carpov makes such statements. He knows very well that there is no private ownership of land in our country. It exists in Moldova, but Pridnestrovie has retained land in state ownership. Any privatisation is out of the question," the head of state stressed during a press conference.

Referring to the so-called problem of the cultivation of land by Moldovan farmers in the Dubossary District which is constantly indicated by the Kishinev authorities as urgent requiring a solution, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that this issue had been removed from the agenda in Pridnestrovie.

«No Moldovan farmer has claimed the violation of his rights over eight months. We allow equipment to be used; the land is cultivated, the harvest is taken away. There's no problem. We have no problem. I think these are only speculations and inventions of some politicians in order to invent counter restrictions against Pridnestrovian officials," said the president.

Kishinev does not want to solve the problems on the agenda of bilateral relations. On the contrary, it puts forward new initiatives aimed to aggravate the situation in and around Pridnestrovie. It will just suffice to mention the unilateral decision by Moldova and Kishinev to establish a joint border and customs post at the Kuchurgan-Pervomaysk border crossing. The PMR's budget is estimated to lose about $40 million due to these measures.

«Pridnestrovie has made five steps forward, and we are urging our Moldovan colleagues to make reciprocal steps. But there is no reciprocal movement. We haven't seen anything in eight months, except for these posts. The conclusion is that Moldova is trying to convince us and itself that we will never be recognised. And at the same time, they are offering us variants of surrender. Every Moldovan politician has its own variant, but the meaning is common — to destroy our statehood, the dissolution of our people, the predominance of the title nation, the division of property and the seizure of land into private property, as Carpov says. This is unacceptable to us. Which is important for us is to preserve our statehood, strengthen our security and all other legal relations," noted the president.
