The PMR Foreign Ministry called on international negotiators to respond to the deportation of Anna Mamei

Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized that this is a gross violation of fundamental human rights

Tiraspol, January 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The deportation of judge Anna Mamei is a gross violation of human rights. And in Pridnestrovie they are waiting for an assessment of these actions of Chisinau from the OSCE, the European Union and the United States. This was stated today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev.

Commenting on what happened to the TSV channel, he emphasized that Moldova crossed all red lines and grossly violated human rights and freedoms. Moreover, the fundamental rights are freedom of movement, freedom of residence and return home.

“All this was done in a rude and demonstrative way. And, of course, I would like such actions to be assessed at the political and diplomatic level, because we are not one-on-one with Chisinau in our dialogue. And those partners who declare that the Pridnestrovian settlement is important for the EU, for the USA, for the OSCE, it is a constant annual priority, must prove that this is a priority, that they support a normal civilized settlement mechanism, and not such unilateral actions, violating the rights and freedoms of people,” the head of the foreign policy department said.

Let us remind you that on January 22, the Moldovan authorities deported the chairman of the Tiraspol city court, Anna Mamei, a citizen of the PMR and the Russian Federation. Moldovan border guards ignored the information that she was born, lives and works in Pridnestrovie. They took her Pridnestrovian and Russian passports. She was deported to Yerevan, where the Armenian border guards returned only her Russian passport. The Pridnestrovian one remained with the Moldovan border guards.

Moldovan intelligence officers stated that the entry ban is directly related to the professional activities of Anna Mamei, who works as the chairman of the Tiraspol City Court. At the same time, the SIB representative recommended her to tell the representatives of the judicial corps of Pridnestrovie that the same fate awaits them all.

A similar incident occurred on December 19, 2023. Pridnestrovian citizen Alexander Navarich was stopped at the Chisinau airport when he returned with his family from abroad. Under a formal pretext, the man was not allowed into the territory of Moldova, allegedly he could not explain the purpose of his visit to the Republic of Moldova.
