Tiraspol, 19 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During the dialogue with the president, the residents of the Kirovsky district in Tiraspol brought up issues relating to the provision of chargeable medical services. The president noted that back in January 2012 the healthcare system was in a critical state. Over this period (from 2012 to 2015) nearly 800 million roubles has been invested in the sector.
According to the president's press service, polyclinics in 25 October St and in Sverdlov St are currently under reconstruction in Tiraspol, paediatric and perinatal centres are being built in Republican Clinic Hospital, the Republican Emergency Station is being repaired. Contemporary medical equipment and mobile intensive care units have been purchased for medical facilities.
«This is laying the foundations for enhancing the quality of medical service. However, we collect taxes at an amount of only 20% of what is necessary for the healthcare system. And new equipment requires corresponding expendable materials. If the budget lacks funds to cover this expenditure item, chargeable services are introduced to cover this very item — to secure the operation of this equipment," underscored the head of state.
The president also highlighted the significance of changing basic terms for land plot regulators.
«Land plots were released on loan for 99 years, and there are no laws regulating the efficiency of their use. Issues relating to the interaction between the government and enterprise owners, regulators of large land plots are urgent and will be considered by a new composition of the Supreme Council," said the president.
