Tiraspol, 14 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The escalation of the political situation in the PMR is only for the benefit of the country's enemies, said Pavel Prokudin at a government meeting today.

«All our domestic differences may only please our rivals," he said.

The chair of the government has underscored that in addition to the global economic crisis, negatively affecting the PMR's economy, the situation is further aggravated by the upcoming presidential elections and speeches delivered by various orators are utterly pre-electoral. According to Pavel Prokudin, in this situation government members need to continue «working calmly and fulfilling their duties». «We must always remember that our activity or inactivity affect our citizens,” added the prime minister.

Pavel Prokudin has said that both the president and the government are taking measures to overcome crisis phenomena in the PMR's economy.

«We have reduced excise rates and customs duties for the whole range of goods. The government has just finished its multi-month work aimed at encouraging our exporters," noted Pavel Prokudin.

«This week our agricultural and alcohol exporters selling their products to the Russian market have received money to their accounts, and what's more, in foreign currency," he added.

According to the chair of the government, earning additional means will allow Pridnestrovian exporters to adjust pricing policy so as to be more competitive in the Russian market.
