Tiraspol, June, 27. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Journalists Shandor Zigot and Daniel Budai are preparing a documentary film about the ancient Hungarians` presence in Pridnestrovie for the Hungarian State Television. This week, the film crew will meet with archaeologists from Tiraspol to study historical evidence. Last year, in the village of Glynoe, Slobodzeya District, artifacts were found which, according to researchers, belonged to a Hungarian soldier of the 9th century.

As the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR informs, today the Hungarian journalists interviewed the head of the foreign ministry Vitaly Ignatiev. The main topics of the conversation were the history of Pridnestrovie, the attitude of the State to the preservation of the archaeological heritage and the development of international contacts in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

Answering journalists' questions, the Foreign Minister emphasized that preserving historical memory was a priority for the Pridnestrovian State. According to the Minister, the history and culture of Pridnestrovie are an integral part of world heritage and therefore act as a powerful stimulus for the development of contacts with the international community.
