Tiraspol, November 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian Republican Bank presented new commemorative coins in the series Orthodox Churches of Pridnestrovie. They depict Tiraspol Nativity of Christ Cathedral. The coins are made of nickel-coated steel. Their nominal value is 1 ruble, the PRB website says.
50,000 such coins have been issued. Some of them are placed in a package-booklet.
It should be noted that in the series Orthodox Churches of Pridnestrovie in 2001 coins Nativity of Chris Cathedral denominated 100 rubles (silver) and 1000 rubles (gold) were issued.
The PRB reminds that commemorative coins are monetary signs of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank, act as a means of circulation and payment in the territory of the PMR and are accepted at their nominal value.
