The PMR President met with the Austrian Ambassador

The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Moldova Stella Avallone took place in the negotiation hall of the presidential executive office. This is the first visit of the diplomat in this position, although she has already visited the republic before. Stella Avallone is familiar with the history of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. She participated in it as part of the Austrian delegation at one time, including during the Austrian chairmanship of the OSCE in 2000.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted welcoming the foreign ambassador that he expects to learn the opinion of Austrian diplomacy on the situation in the negotiations, the prospects for dialogue developing and building good-neighborly relations between the two republics. The PMR President asked how Stella Avallone and her colleagues see the participation of the European Union in the negotiation process.

The participants of the international meeting paid special attention to bilateral Pridnestrovian-Austrian relations. They talked about possible economic and humanitarian contacts. They agreed to build up cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
