Vadim Krasnoselsky received the OSCE delegation

A meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Thomas Lenk took place at the presidential executive office. The European delegation included Izabela Sylwia Hartmann, Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova. Joining the discussion from the hosts were Advisor to the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Pavel Prokudin, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Neagu, and Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Republic Natalia Beril.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the issues raised during the previous meeting remain unresolved, and that these problems are deteriorating. The discussion focused on environmental issues, which require urgent discussion and practical solutions, as well as law enforcement. The inclusion of these issues on the agenda explains the composition of the meeting's participants. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the heads of relevant agencies are ready to provide all necessary information regarding the current state of affairs and the potential consequences of ignoring the issues.

Vadim Krasnoselsky stated that stagnated since 2019 the negotiation process is stagnated not only in the "5+2" format but also at the working (expert) group level. Interaction between industry specialists is extremely rare, communication between political representatives is limited to correspondence, the Moldovan side refuses high-level meetings, and contacts of the PMR President with foreign diplomats consist of exchanges of opinions and consultations without decision-making.

Citing specific examples, Vadim Krasnoselsky mentioned recent incidents involving an attempted arms transit through Moldova and the seizure of a large consignment of synthetic drugs. The President recalled the agreement between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, which has been in effect for over a quarter of a century and provides for cooperation between law enforcement agencies. Pridnestrovie has not withdrawn from the agreement, is open to contacts, and calls on Moldovan law enforcement to resume and intensify cooperation. Vadim Krasnoselsky is confident that cooperation in this area is an important tool for ensuring security.

Thomas Lenk noted in turn that the challenges Vadim Krasnoselsky outlined are common to the entire regional space. He emphasized that resolving these problems is impossible without dialogue.
