The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with a delegation from the US Embassy, led by Chargé d'Affaires Nick Pietrowicz. The delegation included Kim Zapfel, Chief of the Political and Economic Section of the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, and Kelsey Edwards, Political Counselor at the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova. Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev participated in the dialogue on the Pridnestrovian side.
Pridnestrovie consistently maintains a peaceful and responsible position aimed at maintaining stability and peace, emphasized Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the guests. All disagreements must be discussed exclusively at the negotiating table. War on the banks of the Dniester is unacceptable, and no one will succeed in drawing Pridnestrovie into military adventures, Vadim Krasnoselsky said. Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the negotiation process in the "5+2" format, which involves representatives of the parties to the conflict, international mediators, and observers, including the United States. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that full-fledged dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova within this format has been absent for six years, since October 2019. The President of the PMR, noting the significant role of the United States in resolving this issue, emphasized that the freezing was initiated by the Moldovan side, and we see no prospects for a resumption, although this format must be revived.

Nick Pietrowicz for his part emphasized his full support for the preservation of peace. The foreign diplomat noted that Pridnestrovie has remained a territory of peace and tranquility for over 30 years, and is an important factor in stability for the entire region. He expressed support for efforts aimed at strengthening trust and developing dialogue with Moldova.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further cooperation and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace as a top priority for all participants in the negotiation process.
