The President discussed with the Minister of Internal Affairs the current activities of law enforcement agencies and the results of "Teenager" operation

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky on the current activities of the republic's law enforcement agencies. Vitaly Neagu reported among other things on the results of "Teenager" operation. This is a traditional practice. The militia conduct a series of preventive and educational events twice a year aimed at identifying, combating, and preventing offenses involving minors, as well as parents who are not properly fulfilling their responsibilities. The first stage was conducted from October 13 to 17. This work is being conducted jointly with the Ministry of Education and Social Protection, Guardianship, and Trusteeship Authorities. The Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Justice, customs agencies, the Specialized Military Command, and public organizations are involved. Various services and agencies conducted in total 2111 various lectures during this period. A total of 1331 administrative violations were identified and documented.

According to Vitaly Neagu, a significant number of militia officers were involved in the operation. Traffic militia officers were actively involved, patrolling areas with the heaviest traffic and pedestrian-vehicle interactions. 176 thematic lectures were held in schools and kindergartens. A television report, two radio broadcasts, and five newspaper articles were produced. Traffic militia officers identified 924 traffic violations during the first phase of "Teenager 2025-2026" operation. Among them were 18 cases of drunk driving. Pedestrians were issued 22 administrative citations.

Participants in the raids visited 628 families classified as disadvantaged. Seventeen were placed on preventive monitoring by the Juvenile Affairs Department. Ten parents who abuse alcohol have been identified as potential victims of drug addiction and are being referred to the Therapeutic and Occupational Dispensary. Four children have been recommended for transfer from mainstream schools to the Makarenko Educational and Rehabilitation Complex. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers the practice of rehabilitating difficult teenagers at the Educational and Rehabilitation Complex is effective, and the facility itself is necessary. He emphasized that education at this facility should not be viewed as punishment. It is intended to help the children overcome difficulties on the path to personal development. The President emphasized that spending a certain period of time at the Educational and Rehabilitation Complex is beneficial for some teenagers from families of varying social status.

Vitaly Neagu reported that during the raids, areas where young people congregate were checked, basements, attics, and other premises were inspected to identify children who have run away from home, are prone to vagrancy, are disruptive to public order, or are begging. Fourteen unaccompanied children were found, nine of whom were sent to appropriate child care facilities, and five were returned to their families. A total of 563 minors were checked at their places of residence. Ten were registered for committing crimes, 17 for administrative offenses, and two for using narcotic or psychotropic substances. The problem of youth involvement in drug trafficking was also addressed, while discussing drugs. It was noted that ten 16- and 17-year-old drug dealers have been arrested this year. Criminal liability for such crimes begins at age 16.

The age of administrative responsibility for a number of offenses has been lowered to 14 in Pridnestrovie. Vitaly Neagu cited statistics from last year, according to which more than a thousand 16-year-olds were punished for appearing in public while intoxicated, drinking alcoholic beverages, using narcotics or psychotropic substances, smoking, destroying or damaging property, petty theft, hooliganism, cruelty to animals, and driving without a license. Similar crimes were committed by younger teenagers. However it was impossible to hold them accountable until recently.

The speaker announced that the second phase of "Teenager 2025-2026" operation is planned for the end of the school year. The President praised the work done and encouraged its continuation, emphasizing that the joint efforts of all government agencies in this area must be systematic. Several recommendations and instructions were issued. Vadim Krasnoselsky conveyed congratulations to the personnel of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs on the upcoming professional holiday – Militia Day.
