Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the PMR Ministry of Defense Logistics Headquarters. It was an inspection visit. The PMR President assessed the infrastructure changes. The headquarters building, built in 1917, had not undergone major repairs until last year. The reconstruction has been completed. The project was implemented by the defense departments. The historical appearance of the two-story building was preserved. Only the appearance of the roof changed. The massive slate covering that had fallen into disrepair was replaced, and the heavy 30-centimeter flooring was removed. The structure became lighter, while additional space appeared – essentially, another floor. An assembly hall and work offices were equipped under the roof. The redevelopment made it possible to gather in one building a larger number of services and units of the Logistics Directorate, previously scattered at different addresses, Defense Minister Oleg Obruchkov told the Commander-in-Chief. The building's facade has been reinforced. The builders tried to preserve the "native" brickwork as much as possible. The walls were treated with a special protective compound. The communications were replaced. Modern video surveillance, alarm, and fire extinguishing systems were installed. The service premises were renovated. The equipment and furniture were updated. The interlocutors discussed further plans for updating the army infrastructure.
