The Russian political expert, the director of the International Institute for the New States Alexey Martynov told about it during the press conference with journalists of the Pridnestrovie’s mass media in Tiraspol today. He visits Pridnestrovie together with his colleague, the writer, the political expert and the professor of the Higher School of Economics Oleg Matveychev.
He answered the journalists' question on the recent articles in a number of Russian commercial newspapers concerning that Russia allegedly refused to provide financial aid to Pridnestrovie. Then these rumors were also disseminated by the Moldava’s titles. The Russian expert noted that it had been the ill-wishers' fiction only.
«There weren’t issues at all concerning any 100 million allegedly not granted to Pridnestrovie. All the questions concerning the aid and cooperation with Pridnestrovie in any area were raised, and they will be resolved. It has been already formally confirmed that the first tranche of the aid from the Russian Federation will be provided to Pridnestrovie in March. Why March? It’s not connected with the crisis and the relations between any people. It is connected with the budget process. There are certain technical budget rules in Russia. This aid is included into the budget," the Russian political expert told.
Alexey Martynov emphasized that there had been a lot of various fictions, rumors and speculation concerning Pridnestrovie for many years unfortunately. Now, with highly developed social networks, there’s a simple way to publish any nonsense absolutely irresponsibly. The only way to overcome this is to have a look at everything with your own eyes and to talk to these people," the expert noted.
Oleg Matveychev had the same view when he decided to visit Pridnestrovie in 2001 for the first time. «When I returned from Pridnestrovie for the first time, one of my missions was to tell the truth about Pridnestrovie in Russia. For example, everybody was surprised in Russia that Pridnestrovie surpasses Moldova in the living standards. We tell in Russia that the changes in Pridnestrovie are positive. But we should understand that Pridnestrovie being the part of the Russian world space suffers the same crises and falls in the same traps where Russia falls. If we had a crisis of the 2008th year, you also had to bear certain stagnation. It is clear that the world crisis impacts Pridnestrovie," the Russian expert emphasized.
