Tiraspol, 28 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From this week on those engaged in unauthorised street trading in Tiraspol will face administrative charges, said the deputy chief of Tiraspol's internal affairs department, Vyacheslav Samony.

In an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya he specified that following the department's initiative Tiraspol's city council had considered corresponding changes and amendments to the municipal improvement regulations.

«Amendments on unauthorised trading have been made. Now street trading is prohibited in the city outside specially allocated places. The prohibition refers to the so-called hand-to-hand trading on pavements. There were cases of unauthorised trading in playgrounds and even on flower beds. Offenders will face administrative sanctions imposed by a special commission," noted Vaycheslav Samony.

According to him, prior to that both district inspectors and ecology department officers could only warn offenders and ask them to stop trading and leave the place.

«For this purpose the municipal authorities have allocated free trading places at the Orpheus flea market near the municipal House of Culture," said the deputy chief.

He also said that today basic places of unauthorised trading are parts of Karl Libkneht St and Karl Marx St near Green Market.
