Moldovan and Pridnestrovian expert groups on criminal prosecution termination meet in Bendery

Bendery, 17 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Bendery's OSCE Mission office hosted a working meeting of Pridnestrovian and Moldovan experts regarding the termination of criminal cases. The meeting was organised at Pridnestrovie's initiative. The meeting was also attended by mediators from Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE, as well as EU and US observers.

According the MFA's press service, the sides expressed readiness to exchange within a month actual lists of persons involved in criminal cases initiated against officials and other citizens by the authorities of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.

«Pridnestrovian representatives have confirmed their principled position that politically motivated criminal cases must be dismissed on the «all for all» principal," says the MFA's statement.

The sides also agreed to exchange proposals to resume cooperation between Pridnestrovian and Moldovan law enforcement agencies, which had been earlier suspended by the Moldovan side.

The previous meeting in this format took place in Bendery on 24 April 2015, and since last August Pridnestrovie on various occasions advanced the initiative of holding a regular meeting, but every time it was postponed by the Moldovan side.
