Czech ambassador to Moldova visits Pridnestrovie

He met the leadership of the parliament

Tiraspol, 19 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Moldova Zdeněk Krejčí has visited the Supreme Council today.

Opening the meeting, the speaker of the parliament Alexander Shcherba noted: «We are interested in a dialogue, in European countries, the international community being informed about developments in the PMR. After the elections, there is a favourable situation in the republic where all branches of power act in the same vein. Pridnestrovie positions itself on the international scene as a civilised, legal, democratic, socially-oriented state.»

As the press service of the Supreme Council reports, the Czech diplomat maintained that after the elections in Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the meeting of the presidents, a window of opportunities has opened up for the further development of dialogue.

Zdeněk Krejčí wondered, in the meantime, how the Pridnestrovian side was going to make use of it. This subject became one of principal during the meeting.
