Tiraspol, 5 September /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Moldova has proceeded to new unilateral restrictions against Pridnestrovie. In addition to blocking the country's political, diplomatic, information, scientific and expert contacts, the Moldovan authorities have begun to restrict entry to Pridnestrovie for our citizens.

As we have informed, foreign guests, who were going to Pridnestrovie to celebrate Republic Day, were denied entry to Moldova. It is particularly outrageous that entry was denied to a Pridnestrovian citizen who permanently lives in the country —the Supreme Council's representative to Russia, Olga Gukalenko

These new restrictions have not been overlooked by Pridnestrovie.

«Olga Gukalenko has been expelled from Moldova in violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and a number of other international conventions, in violation of negotiating process agreements. The same evening we appealed to all negotiation participants. I persob=nally talked to Moldova's chief negotiator. We called for all measures to be taken to prevent any form of restriction, blockade and any negative impact on the rights and interests of Pridnestrovian residents," underscored Ignatyev.

The MFA has also addressed the international partners to assess the measures recently taken by Moldova against Pridnestrovie.

«In this situation, when our relations are complicated, when one negotiator is, in fact, evading the solution of problems, and on the contrary raising the degree of tension, as never before do we need more international participation. In circumstances where there are problems, the full range of negotiating formats should be involved," said the minister.

Ignatyev also announced that the subject of the deportation of the Pridnestrovian citizen from Moldova would be a focus of the next meeting of the political representatives.

«We are sure to discuss it along with other issues. No restrictive measure which is taken against Pridnestrovie will not be ignored by the Pridnestrovian side and, I hope, our international partners," said the foreign minister.
