Opening of the bridge near Bychok and Gura-Bykuluy villages discussed at the meeting between Pridnestrovie's President and head of OSCE Mission in RM

Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the first step is to adopt a legal decision, and then work of technical specialists will follow

Tiraspol, November 1. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President met with the head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Michael Scanlan, the Presidential Press Office reports. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked Michael Scanlan for active involvement in the dialogue on the settlement of topical issues in relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, including opening of the bridge across the Dniester near Bychok and Gura-Bykuluy villages, apostilization of the Pridnestrovian diplomas, vehicle traffic and also issues in the field of telecommunications and vehicle license plates.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that by that day the parties had exchanged draft legal decisions on the opening of the bridge across the Dniester.

"There are no any fundamental discrepancies which could prevent us from opening this structure for traffic. If we start bumping into some technical details, the bridge won't function. Tthe first step is to adopt a legal decision, and then work of technical specialists will follow," the Pridnestrovian President considers.

In return, the head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova thanked the President of the PMR for active personal involvement in solution of the issues being important for a large number of people.

"I have reasons to suppose that the Moldovan and Pridnestrovian sides want to achieve the result this year. I think that people will welcome such decisions," Michael Scanlan told.

Also during the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of progress in a number of aspects of the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
