Tiraspol, March, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. 16 million rubles will be allocated for road repairs in Tiraspol. The money was earmarked by the Sheriff company under the investment program. This year, road services will repair 10 road sections. The program for the average repair will include 8 objects, another 7 ones are subject to construction and reconstruction.
Reconstruction of the roadway began with the Karl Liebknecht street. Specialists have already carried out on-board line dismantling. Later the asphalt cleavage will be replaced. The repair program also includes October 25, Lenin, Lunacharsky and Sverdlov streets.
“The sections are selected according to their critical state and to the presence of social facilities. These are streets such as Karl Liebknecht, October 25, Lenin, Lunacharsky, Sverdlov - mostly the part of the city where public transport and the largest accumulation of social facilities are involved,” the director of the Tiraspol road repair and construction department Gennady Goroh said.
In addition to patch works, specialists from Tiraspol road maintenance and construction department will be engaged in the restoration of the roadway.
“This year patching is about 30% less than in the previous year, but for the time being we are moving away from patch works. Most of the city’s road coverage is in an unacceptable condition for year-round usage,” Gennady Goroh said.
