Tiraspol, April, 12. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. April 12, in fact, is the second birthday of Tiraspol. It was said by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky on the meeting devoted to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Pridnestrovian capital.
«Without this date, there would be no further history of the city and there would be no Pridnestrovie per se», - the Head of the state noted.
Vadim Krasnoselsky paid attention that today in some countries there are attempts to evaluate a contribution of the Soviet Union to a victory over fascism.
«Now the feat of the Soviet people is in question. In some states monuments to the Soviet warriors are destroyed, graves are plundered. Someone even tries to rehabilitate fascism and nazism and those who are sentenced by the Nuremberg tribunal. It is the tragedy, but we can resist it, resist by our memory», - the President concluded.
