In his congratulations on the International Day of Peacekeepers, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselski noted that this holiday is filled with a special meaning, because the value of the "Blue Helmets" in maintaining peace and security couldn`t be overestimated.
“The people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic highly appreciates the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation on the banks of the Dniester. In July 1992, with the introduction of the Russian peacekeepers, the war of aggression launched by the leadership of the Republic of Moldova ended. A long-awaited peace came to the Pridnestrovian land,” the message of congratulation says.
According to the head of State, the tripartite mechanism of a peacekeeping operation over the 27 years of its existence has convincingly proved its effectiveness. Peacekeepers on guard of peace perform a high, responsible mission without a single shot, without combat losses and civilian victims.
“Thank you, dear peacekeepers, for your daily hard service. May the “dove of peace” continue to remain a symbol of goodness, honor and valor,” Vadim Krasnoselski concluded.
