Tiraspol, July, 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. PMR Government leadership, speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov, deputies of the Supreme Council, representatives of youth organizations and residents of Tiraspol laid flowers at the Russian Federation Consulate as a tribute to the sailors who died in the fire at the nuclear underwater station in Severomorsk.
The Deputy Chairman of the Government - Minister of Health Alexey Tsurkan addressed words of condolences.
“We are here to offer our condolences to the families of the dead sailors. For us, this is also a tragedy. We feel great compassion for the Russian people. Those who died should stay in our memories forever,” Alexey Tsurkan said.
It should be reminded that on July 1, an abnormal situation occurred in the deep-water apparatus of the Russian Navy during the bathymetric measurements. The crew managed to put out the fire, but as a result, 14 submariners were killed, of which seven were captains of the first rank, and two crew members were heroes of Russia.
