The government plans to allocate more than 30 million rubles for increasing salaries of medical workers

Tiraspol, November 29./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Government has budgeted more than 30 million rubles to increase the wages of medical workers the next year. If these objects of expenditure are approved by the Parliament and sources of coverage are available, increased wages for health workers will be accrued from 1 July 2020.

This was announced at the First Medical Forum by the Deputy Chairman of the Government – Minister of Health Alexey Tsurcan.

He stressed that the current level of income of health workers (average wage – 193 US dollars) could lead medicine to catastrophic consequences.

“Of course, we need to build on our capabilities. But today's situation is unacceptable, and it can lead to catastrophic consequences”, the Minister said.

He said that the Government had instructed to develop a new system of remuneration for health workers.

“It was instructed to remove our specialists from the application of the Budget Sphere Employees Remuneration Law, which strictly regulates the number of additional payments, salaries and leaves no motivational component. We propose to introduce additional payments, which will stimulate the doctor to increase his competence, to work in the primary link, to work in rural areas”, Alexey Tsurcan noted.

According to him, the Ministry plans to increase the level of earnings of specialists of general medical practice by 60-90%, doctors of an ambulance – by 50-60%. In policlinics the growth will be 30-60%, in hospitals – 10-30%.
