Vitaly Ignatiev met with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn

The diplomats discussed the situation in the negotiation process between the PMR and the RM, as well as the peacekeeping operation functioning on the Dniester

Tiraspol, December 4. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs website reports that the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Vitaly Tryapitsyn.

During the meeting, there was discussed the current situation in the process of regulating relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Vitaly Ignatiev expressed concern about the continuing degradation of dialogue between the parties and lack of dynamics at all levels of the negotiation process. According to him, this has negative impact on the prospects for the normalization of relations.

"The diplomats agreed on the need to enhance the negotiation mechanisms as soon as possible to resolve the entire range of existing problematic aspects for the people`s benefit, and also discussed the prospects for the work of the "Permanent Meeting ..." format in 2021," the PMR MFA press service said.

Special attention was paid to the issues of the peacekeeping operation stable functioning on the Dniester.

The interlocutors also discussed the multifaceted support of Russian citizens and compatriots living in Pridnestrovie, issues of effective countering the pandemic.

At the end of the meeting, the diplomats agreed to continue regular working communication on comprehensive range of topical areas.
