COVID statistics

Number of registered cases of COVID-19 infection in the republic increased to 14481, according to the information announced during the next meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. 87847 samples were taken for analysis during the pandemic. 3028 of these – within four days that have passed since the previous meeting of the Operational Headquarters (in 1010 cases the test results are positive). 19 people died, 783 patients from COVID hospitals successfully completed treatment during the same time. 2671 infected patients are being treated in infectious diseases hospitals. 40 of them are in serious condition. Four carriers of the virus are connected to lung ventilations. The workload of specialized hospitals is more than 90%. 168 Pridnestrovians suspected of being infected are awaiting test results in a hospital setting. 286 deaths were recorded among carriers of the coronavirus (2% of the number of cases) during the pandemic. 9655 people (67%) coped with the disease. Hundreds of asymptomatic infected people are being treated at home. Another 296 residents of the republic, previously in contact with the sick, are in controlled self-isolation. 70 students of the Faculty of Medicine of PSU are involved in the work of Crisis Centers where twenty additional jobs have been created.
