The meeting of the PMR President with the clergy took place at the presidential executive office. Bishop Vikenty of Zlatoust and Satka is in Pridnestrovie at the invitation of Archbishop Sawa of Tiraspol and Dubossary.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the guests, spoke about the importance of maintaining Pridnestrovian-Russian contacts along the line of Orthodoxy. The interlocutors discussed a number of projects in this direction. They talked about interaction in preservation and development of Orthodox culture, education of young people in the spirit of Christianity, enlightening, expanding the space of the Russian world.
The ruling bishop of the Zlatoust diocese handed over to Vadim Krasnoselsky the Church-public medal of St. John Chrysostom, noting that this award, established by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Ural Spiritual and Educational Center “Zlatoust”, is presented to “those who have worked for the good of spiritual education, social service, church building and relations”. The award certificate is dated 2 September 2020. Pandemic restrictions did not allow the medal to be awarded on the day of the 30th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
