The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde

European delegation headed by Ann Linde is on a visit to Pridnestrovie. She heads the Swedish Foreign Ministry, which this year holds the presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The geography of movements of the Swedish diplomat heading the OSCE is quite wide around the world. The day before, Ann Linde was in Tbilisi, this morning she met with the leadership of Moldova, in the afternoon she met with the PMR President. The meeting takes place in Bendery - in the conference hall of the Bendery fortress. The arrived delegation is numerous enough. The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office is accompanied by the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova Anna Lyberg and other representatives of the Swedish Foreign Ministry and the OSCE. The receiving party, in addition to the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky, is represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and his deputy Alexander Stetsyuk. The main goal of the meeting is to discuss the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian negotiation process, which Pridnestrovie is counting on during the Swedish presidency.

Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the guests, noted the fact that this is the first visit of the Head of Swedish foreign policy to Bendery during 313 years, expressing the hope that it will be more positive than during the time of Charles XII. The interlocutors noted the importance of the place where the meeting is taking place for the history of both Pridnestrovie and Sweden.

The main discussion part of the international meeting is taking place at the moment. A joint excursion to the Bendery Fortress with a visit to the museum is planned upon its completion.
