They freeze about 8 tons of products grown by "Expedition Agro" and manufacture up to three million cans of preserves at full capacity during the season. It is interesting that almost all of the frozen products are exported, and the canned products are sold on the local market.
221 hectares were sown with peas, 260 hectares with sweet corn, 40 hectares with cauliflower and broccoli this year. Grains – winter wheat and barley, as well as corn for grain – occupy 1226 hectares, sunflower – 274 hectares, rapeseed – 703 hectares. They say that the yields are consistently high. They do not hide the secret of success, moreover, they recommend it to fellow farmers. It is all about the soil-protective farming system, which was preferred many years ago. It is based on competent crop rotation. Land users, describing the process and effect, used the concept of "harmony". The predecessor of today's wheat was grain peas, for example. This is a very useful alternation, experts say. They also said that they are switching to a new sowing plan - they are abandoning sunflower from next year. One of the most important advantages of the used soil protection system, in addition to the formation of a biologically active layer, is moisture conservation, Igor Dobran emphasized in a conversation with the President. Another important feature is the No-Till technology. This is a refusal to traditionally plow the land, said agronomist Mikhail Sorochan. The surface of the field is not disturbed, the upper layer accumulates crop residues, which, thanks to the activity of microorganisms, are mineralized and increase the organic mass, thereby increasing soil fertility. This is not know-how. Slobodzeya farmers rely on world experience. They say that Argentina has been working exclusively on this system for three decades, the Americans, not all, but many, have been using it for about half a century. Of course, Slobodzeya residents do not completely abandon irrigation. There is a peculiarity here as well. Particular attention is paid to the quality of water. It is purified using a reverse osmosis unit.
The PMR President visited the pumping station servicing the enterprise. The head of Slobodzeya section of the State Institution "Pridnestrovian Irrigation Networks" Vyacheslav Kyrstea said that the canal is a kind of reservoir.
