The election campaign for the elections of deputies at all levels has started in Pridnestrovie

The single voting day will be held on November 30, but early voting will also be provided

Tiraspol, September 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On September 3, the election campaign for the elections of deputies of the Supreme Council, city, district, village and settlement councils, as well as chairmen of village and settlement councils - heads of village and settlement administrations, started in Pridnestrovie. Applicants for deputy mandates and for the positions of heads of villages can already submit applications to the election commissions. The Supreme Council, as now, will have 33 deputies.

According to the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Stanislav Kasap, 7 territorial election commissions of cities and districts, 33 district election commissions for the election of deputies of the Supreme Council and 76 territorial election commissions of villages and settlements that are part of the satellite city are already working throughout the republic. This is where candidates can submit the necessary documents.

As the head of the CEC noted, the requirements for candidates have not changed. Information on the documents that candidates for election commissions must submit is posted on the central election commission website. The schemes of the electoral districts are published in newspapers, and can also be found on the website of the central election commission of the PMR (section For Candidates) and on the official websites of the councils of people's deputies - including the PMR Supreme Council website.

"Over the past period, the requirements established by the electoral code in relation to candidates have remained virtually unchanged. Therefore, we believe that these requirements are clear and transparent. They are both in the electoral code and in the forms of the documents that candidates must fill out. From today, we are waiting for potential candidates in the election commissions of the PMR," Stanislav Kasap clarified.

Documents and Ballots

Printed materials for the elections have already been prepared, ballots will be produced later.

"We will only be able to do this when we know who has completed the registration procedure, that is, after October 30. October 30 is the last day for submitting documents to the election commission for the purposes of nomination and registration," Stanislav Kasap explained.

Thus, the final list of candidates will be known at the end of October, after which the printing of ballots and preparation for voting will begin.

Work with Voter Lists

The Central Election Commission regularly updates the lists of citizens eligible to vote.

"Work on the voter lists is ongoing, they are in motion, because information is received monthly. The final clarification of the lists will be made in November, right before they are transferred directly to the precinct election commissions," the head of the Central Election Commission emphasized.

Preparation of Commissions

At the end of August, seminars were held in the republic for members of election commissions.

"Representatives of the Central Electoral Commission have traveled throughout the republic, conveying information on the procedure for the election campaign, nomination, registration, and document verification. We believe that at this stage all the necessary information has been received by the election commissions," Stanislav Kasap noted.

Election Day

The main vote will take place on November 30, 2025. Early voting will also be provided. As before, cameras will be installed at all polling stations.

"Video surveillance is traditionally carried out at polling stations. On November 30, the system will record all actions from the moment the polling station starts working until the final protocol is drawn up," the head of the Central Election Commission Stanislav Kasap concluded.

Important Changes for Voters

Since 2025, innovations have been introduced into the electoral legislation that directly affect the voting procedure. In particular, the working hours of the polling stations have been changed. If they opened at 7 am and closed at 8 pm formerly, now the Electoral Code has established a different regime - from 8 am to 8 pm. In addition, a ban on photographing and videotaping a completed ballot, making it public, as well as taking the ballot out of the polling station has been introduced at the legislative level.
