Nina Shtanski met with the head of EU delegation in Moldova Pirkka Tapiola

Economic situation rapidly growing worse in Pridnestrovie became a key topic of discussion due to the increasing pressure from Moldova and Ukraine

The Foreign Ministry's Press Service emphasizes that the meeting was initiated by the Pridnestrovie's side today. The side also discussed the future trade and economic interaction between Pridnestrovie and the European Union.

The Deputy Prime Minister on International Cooperation, the Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski reconfirmed the Pridnestrovie's standpoint on the necessity to formulate a trade mechanism between Pridnestrovie and the European Union.

Accordingly, the head of the foreign policy department drew the European diplomat's attention to the fact that the international commitments assumed within the DCFTA Agreement actually were a new Moldova's lever of pressure on Pridnestrovie.

The sides agreed to continue the dialogue on topical issues of bilateral interaction in the economic sphere.
