Meeting with Serbian delegation takes place in Pridnestrovie's MFA

Tiraspol, 27 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, the acting foreign minister, Vitaly Ignatyev met the delegation of the Serbian Republic, led by the chairman of the Third Serbia party, Miroslav Parović. The meeting was also attended by deputy foreign ministers Dmitry Palamarchuk and Igor Shornikov.

As the MFA press service reports, Vitaliy Ignatyev thanked the guests for visiting the country in such a difficult period when Moldova does its best to restrict Pridnestrovie's international contacts, including in scientific sphere.

The minister expressed confidence that the conference's success, which took place on 26 November, would guarantee further strengthening of contacts with Serbia.

«I believe such an event will be a stage in the development of a complex interaction between Pridnestrovie and Serbia. Our mutual interests go beyond the scientific sphere, and we are ready to discuss our cooperation in as many areas as possible," said the foreign minister.

Miroslav Parović said that Serbian people are aware of the conditions in which Pridnestrovie has to exist. «We have come from the country whose people are well aware of the specifics of your problems. We know what it means to live in a circle of enemies, under international sanctions," he underscored.

The subject matter of the meeting was prospects for boosting economic and trade cooperation between Serbia and Pridnestrovie. The participants agreed to study possible mechanisms of establishing direct economic contacts, including those between business entities.

The parties concurred to update news about Pridnestrovie in Serbia, particularly in media outlets and among experts.
