Tiraspol, 16 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Foreign policy department hosts a meeting between the Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev and the Special Envoy of the Acting OSCE Chairman-in-Office Cord Meier-Klodt today.
Mr. Klodt has already visited Pridnestrovie, however it is his first visit in capacity of the Special Envoy.
Vitaly Ignatyev emphasized that the diplomats were glad to welcome the team of the Acting OSCE Chairman-in-Office in the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry and added that the Pridnestrovie's side had paid attention to the statement of the German Foreign Minister who is also an OSCE chairman on Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement. "His position means certain readiness for serious and consistent work. Our great hope is that this readiness will be expressed in specific actions," Vitaly Ignatyev noted.
Also, the Pridnestrovie's foreign policy department hoped that the yesterday's meeting between Cord Meier-Klodt and the head of the Reintegration Bureau Georgi Balan will push the negotiation process forward.
"I hope that your visit will embolden the Moldovan partners a little, and we will begin a comprehensive work at last," the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Minister emphasized.
It's important to remind that 1+1 format meetings between the Moldovan and Pridnestrovian political representatives haven't been held since October, 2015 due to Moldovan side's refusal to participate in them.
In turn, the Special Envoy of the Acting OSCE Chairman-in-Office Cord Meier-Klodt noted that he had a number of good news following the results of previous meetings with agents of 5+2 format participants.
