«This ideology of blocking economic opportunities directly creates conditions and prerequisites for the deteriorating economic situation in Pridnestrovie. Therefore, we urge our neighbours, and first of all our partners in Kiev, Kishinev and Brussels, to abandon the ideology of sanctions and blockades, because it entails the expansion of poverty. And we hope very much that relations between the Russian Federation and the European Union and between our partners in Moscow and Kishinev, in Moscow and Kiev will improve. And this will create a fertile soil for a more efficient discussion of the problems of and around Pridnestrovie," said Yevgeny Shevchuk.
He noted that the PMR was considerably influenced by Kishinev's policy which is aimed at forcing Pridnestrovie's economy into the economic or legal framework of Moldova.
«This is done intentionally and in cooperation with the official Kiev. We have additional transport problems. This generally aggravates the regional economic situation, the situation in Pridnestrovie and may have negative consequences," said the head of state.
«On the whole, we feel a chain of negative circumstances affecting the economy and the income of our citizens. And today this is bothering us the most. Pridnestrovie's fundamental task today is to resolve its economic problems, the problems of unemployment, budget revenues and our citizens' income," added Shevchuk.
