Tiraspol, 23 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovian president and the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Michael Scanlan, discussed the positive aspects of the opening of the bridge across the Dniester near the villages of Gura Bicului and Bychok. The president thanked the ambassador for his involvement in this important matter, calling it a significant step in the establishment of economic and humanitarian communication between the parties to the negotiations.
"People are calling and thanking, speaking about the intensification of road traffic. I am sure that the resumption of traffic on the bridge will also benefit businesses, which has faced serious problems due to inconveniences in cargo transportation. The opening of the bridge is an example of a good compromise solution to the issues on which the lives of a large number of people depend", said the president.

Krasnoselsky also recalled other issues on the "5+2" format's agenda that needed to be discussed and resolved: recognition of Pridnestrovie-issued higher education diplomas, problems in the spheres of telecommunication, road transport, agriculture and education. According to the president, these issues can only be resolved through compromise.
"So, step by step, we will settle the problems that for years have constrained normal human relations between the residents of the two Dniester banks. We are ready for dialogue," said the president.
Michael Scanlan noted that the participation of the Pridnestrovian president and the Moldovan prime minister, as well as other officials from Pridnestrovie and Moldova, in the opening ceremony had demonstrated their willingness to solve the problems.
"I can confirm from my personal experience that this decision has facilitated people's lives. I was going to Tiraspol today across this very bridge," he said.
According to Scanlan, the willingness to discuss the topical issues of the negotiating agenda shows the genuine desire of the country's leadership to find solutions on which people's lives depend.
The interlocutors discussed in detail a number of relevant issues in the ongoing dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the president's press service reports.
