Tiraspol, 3 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The negotiation process was one of the topics of a meeting of Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky with Russian journalists, which took place today in the press centre of Parlamentskaya Gazeta in Moscow. The detailed account of the meeting is available on the president's website.

The head of state said that at the beginning of 2017 he outlined an agenda based on the solution of specific issues on which the life of citizens depends both in Pridnestrovie and in Moldova. The president noted that the message "to deal with specific deeds rather than engage in politics" was supported by international organisations. Both special representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Franco Frattini and Russia's deputy foreign minister Grigory Karasin agree with the fact that it is not the time now to conduct political debates and discuss any political status, the Pridnestrovian leader noted.

"Our positions on this issue completely coincide, as well as on the fact that it is not enough to reach framework agreements - it is absolutely necessary to implement them in practice. It is necessary to ensure that the decisions which are made are not just in the framework of some kind of law, but become a commonplace so that people can use this law," explained Vadim Krasnoselsky.

The president spoke about the progress achieved last year and noted that there were a number of issues on the current agenda that need to be addressed: license plates, banking sector, railway, termination of politically motivated criminal cases against Pridnestrovian citizens.

"All these issues are on the agenda of the '5 +2' format, working groups. The expert groups permanently hold meetings, and we reach a compromise on many issues, which is very encouraging," the president emphasised.
