Tiraspol, December, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In world media space there is a large number of myths about Pridnestrovie. Part of them was debunked by the President of the Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky at today's press conference.
The head of the state focused attention on what the PMR is called a splinter of the Soviet Union and also is associated only with the armed conflict of 1992. According to him, it is absolutely wrong.
"We remember the past, but we also move forward, we have good indicators. It is necessary to show it. Myth No. 3 is that Pridnestrovie is a tension centre in Eastern Europe. It is categorically untrue. On the contrary, we are the island of stability, especially comparing with our neighbours", - the President told.
According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, another myth is that the crime rate in the republic through the roof and human rights are massively violated.
"All our opportunities have to be directed to debunk these myths, to give a true picture, to show the real face, the true essence of the PMR", - the President concluded.
