MOLDOVA THREATENS TO SET UP TRANSPORT BLOCKADE FOR PRIDNESTROVIE

Moldovan representatives in the JCC reported that car traffic in the section of the Bendery Chamber of Commerce and Industry could be blocked

Tiraspol, July, 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Moldova threatens to block for car traffic a section of the highway to Bendery customs. Moldovan representatives substantiate this by expanding the infrastructure at the Bendery Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is associated with an increase in the migration flow and simplification of border crossing, including for tourists.

The Moldovan side distributed the corresponding appeal at the next meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC).

As noted by the Co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie, Oleg Belyakov, those threats went against the Agreement on the peaceful settlement of the conflict, signed in 1992.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the fifth paragraph of this basic document, the parties of the conflict undertake to refuse to apply any sanctions and blockades.

In May, it should be recalled; it was proposed to increase the number of lanes at the Bendery Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They are intended for tourists. Registration for them is planned to be carried out in an expedited manner. In addition, it is planned to issue these traffic lanes` users a tourist passports.
