Tiraspol, July 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Vitaly Ignatiev, stated that Pridnestrovie did not interfere in the electoral processes of the neighboring republic.
"There have probably not been such elections in the Republic of Moldova yet, in which certain participants would not speculate around the topic of Pridnestrovie. This is an old Bessarabian habit. For its part, Pridnestrovie is in no way involved in the electoral processes in neighboring Moldova, considering them an internal matter of a foreign state," Ignatiev said.
As RIA Novosti notes, the Moldovan authorities are trying to influence the results of the upcoming parliamentary elections by initiating criminal cases against opposition politicians, expanding the powers of the information and security service, closing unwanted media outlets and blocking Telegram channels.
