The President was informed about the election campaign

Preparations for the elections were discussed in the course of the meeting between the President and heads of state authorities and administrative bodies. Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Stanislav Kasap presented updated data, reporting 890 registered candidates. Forty-five candidates are running for 33 elected positions in the Supreme Council, and 235 citizens of the republic for 183 elected positions in city and district councils. One hundred and nineteen candidates are seeking 76 elected positions as chairmen of village (settlement) councils. A total of 491 candidates are for 469 elected positions in village and settlement councils. Registration is complete, and the campaigning phase has begun. Candidates are presenting their election platforms to voters. Recorded cases of rule violations are isolated and are being reviewed by territorial commissions and internal affairs agencies. Approximately 395000 Pridnestrovians are on the voter lists. On Saturday, the state-owned printing house began printing ballots. The designers have ensured the necessary security features. On November 23, the ballots will be handed over to local election commissions, so early voting can begin on Monday, November 24. There are 246 precinct election commissions in total. Spaces have been allocated for their work, as well as for conducting voting. They are being provided with furniture, equipment, and office equipment. Stanislav Kasap noted that some precincts lack printers, copiers, and safes. Instructions have been given to ensure that all necessary equipment is provided. The issue of providing election commissions with transportation was also discussed in the  course of the meeting. There are currently questions regarding Bendery. 25 of the 31 precinct election commissions have been provided with transportation there. Another transportation issue is the transportation of voters from settlements that do not have separate polling stations. There are 24 of these. School buses will be used for residents of these villages. Stanislav Kasap noted the lack of heating in some buildings, primarily community centers. They should be heated by November 28. Volunteers are being sought at 48 polling stations. These include buildings located on the second floor (there are six of these) or in buildings with multi-step porches. Assistance will be needed for those with limited mobility and the elderly. The head of the Central Election Commission touched on the possibility of providing members of election commissions with time off from work on Monday, December 1, emphasizing that the voting process is lengthy and labor-intensive. Furthermore, Stanislav Kasap noted that these citizens will be able to exercise their right to vote early. Every voter has this opportunity. Early voting begins on November 24. Participation is by application. No documents are required to justify early participation, other than the application, which is submitted at the polling station and at the time of voting.

Other current issues were discussed during the video conference. The working discussion between the PMR President and the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the PMR will continue in the presidential executive office.
