Tiraspol, 3 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The chief negotiators of Moldova and Pridnestrovie intend to hold regular meetings to discuss pressing issues of the negotiation process. Following the meeting, which took place in Kishinev's OSCE Mission today, a number of proposals by the Pridnestrovian side have been submitted for consideration to expert working groups.

«There is a large layer of issues to solve. There is a position expressed by the OSCE special representative who said that we need some small 'stories of success' in the Pridnestrovian settlement. This fully coincides the small steps tactics within which we must achieve specific results on a range of problematic issues," said the Pridnestrovian foreign minister, Vitaliy Ignatyev, at the final press conference.

According to him, the sides should get ready for the upcoming talks in the 5+2 format.

«The progress of the dialogue will depend on the efficiency of our cooperation at the level of political negotiators, expert groups. Now we hear only declarations on the part of Moldova. I hope they will be translated into specific results," noted Ignatyev.

The next meeting of the chief negotiators may take place as early as 11 March.

«We have proposed the date for the next meeting — the next Friday. Mr Balan have preliminarily agreed to this date. We expect the Moldovan side to respond to all our proposals within the upcoming meeting of expert working groups on the issues we have discussed today," concluded the diplomat.
