Ukraine actors want to tighten security at the Pridnestrovie-Ukraine border like at its Russian site

On Wednesday, July 8, the head of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service Victor Nazarenko declared at the meeting with the president Petro Poroshenko in Odessa that he considers it necessary to tighten security at the Pridnestrovian site of the border and to make engineering works there similar to those ones which were built at the Russia-Ukraine by the Ukrainian authorities.

«We ask to note it, as we submitted an offer to consider the Pridnestrovie's site of the Moldavian border as a threat similar to the Russian site and to make the same engineering works there," RIA Novosti quotes the head of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service.

According to Nazarenko, these days border guards carry out works on the Pridnestrovie-Ukraine closure, more than 500 troops of the National Guard are also involved, create separate quick-reaction border command of 600 military units. «We've reinforced an operational component; we work with our Moldova colleagues intensively. 53 kilometers of engineering constructions have been built for today. These actions can be assessed differently, but the ditch is an obstacle for smuggling," Nazarenko told.
