The President with his wife took part in festive event dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the Faithful Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. The festivities were organized on the territory of the Park in Bendery that bears the name of the commander and diplomat, ranked among the saints by the Russian Orthodox Church. The PMR President with his wife as well as heads of state and local authorities, representatives of the Tiraspol and Dubossary dioceses took part in the event.
Flowers were laid at the foot of the monument to the Faithful Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky and at the portrait sculptures of the great commanders installed on the Pantheon of Russian Glory near the citadel of the fortress.
The festive program will be continued by the concert of the brass band and creative teams of the town.
